Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Shimmy Dat Ray.
Hahn Road was uncompetitive of this event and tailed off soon after the start. Kraken Courage and Shimmy Dat Ray collided soon after the start. Luka's Choice, Shimmy Dat Ray and Kraken Courage collided approaching the first turn checking Shimmy Dat Ray. Little Red Hot, Blue Magnum and Zharnel collided on the first turn. Shimmy Dat Ray and Luka's Choice collided approaching the home turn. Zharnel and Little Red Hot collided approaching the home turn checking Little Red Hot. Shimmy Dat Ray clipped the heels of Little Red Hot entering the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Hayes, trainer of Kraken Courage in relation to him attempting to box the greyhound prior to being instructed to. Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Hayes pursuant to GAR 51.
Hahn Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was then re-examined following race 12. Hahn Road was found to have a right foreleg trapezius injury and right hindleg iliopsoa muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
