Bartholomew Bale was vetted prior to the race was passed fit to race.
Security Code was slow to begin.
Security Code and Vesper Bale collided soon after the start. Bartholomew Bale checked off Busy Bella soon after the start checking Mepunga Pegasus and Aston Wizard which stumbled. Bartholomew Bale, Charlie Cockatoo and Security Code collided approaching the first turn checking Bartholomew Bale, Charlie Cockatoo, Mepunga Pegasus, Vesper Bale and Aston Wizard. Charlie Cockatoo checked off Vesper Bale approaching the second turn checking Mepunga Pegasus. Charlie Cockatoo checked off Mepunga Pegasus on the third turn. Busy Bella and Better Watch Out collided approaching the home turn. Bartholomew Bale and Mepunga Pegasus collided several times in the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking Bartholomew Bale.
Charlie Cockatoo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind metatarsal fracture and a laceration to the left hind foot. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Busy Bella - winner of the event.
