Stewards noted that the weight sales were recalibrated on 14 January, 2020.
Unusual Suspect was quick to begin and crossed out soon after the start. Warrior Jake was slow to begin.
Guilty As, Mayhem Pride and Ishmy Rory collided soon after the start. Floppy Roo shifted out and collided with Black Miss soon after the start. Floppy Roo crossed out at the 250m mark checking Black Miss, Guilty As and Mayhem Pride. Warrior Jake and Black Miss collided at the 200m checking Black Miss. Unusual Suspect crossed to the rail at the 150m mark. Floppy Roo, Castle Sween and Unusual Suspect collided at the 150m mark severely checking Castle Sween which stumbled as a result. Warrior Jake and Ishmy Rory collided at the 100m mark. Black Miss and Guilty As collided at the 100m mark.
Black Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr J. Buckley, the trainer of Black Miss regarding its performance from the 150m mark. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Black Miss must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
