Steward's Report
Ride Along galloped on the heels of G'Day Muscles on the first turn, checking Aston Soho, G'Day Muscles and causing Sweet Harriet to fall. Chips An' Cheese veered out and marred the running of Soda Nigel entering the home straight.
Sweet Harriet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraca-lumbar injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Chips An' Cheese underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr S.Stefanos, the trainer of Chips An' Cheese regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Chips An' Cheese was charged with marring. Mr Stefanos pleaded guilty to the charge, Chips An' Cheese is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Soda Nigel - the winner of the event.
