Slingshot Prince was slow to begin.

Sprightly Bro and Lady Bang Bang collided on the first turn checking Lady Bang Bang.  Kissable and Off To Monaco collided on the first turn.  Sprightly Bro checked off Slingshot Prince approaching the second turn.  Lady Bang Bang and Off To Monaco collided on the second turn.  Kissable and Sprightly Bro collided entering the back straight checking Kissable.  Kissable and Off To Monaco collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn.  

Fly By Them, Van Nindi and Ragnar Bale collided on the first turn checking Van Nindi.  Van Nindi contacted the running rail entering the front straight and lost ground.  Renewed and Mister Harlewood collided approaching the second turn.  Fly By Them and Ragnar Bale collided in the back straight and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Van Nindi underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Ragnar Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left cervico-thoracic injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the representative Mr C. Grenfell, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the back straight and again on the home turn. Mr Grenfell pleaded guilty to the charge, Ragnar Bale must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Almapa Sunshine was quick to begin.  Unbuckled was slow to begin.

Almapa Sunshine and Lockwood Lad collided approaching the first turn checking Lockwood Lad.  Unbuckled and Vallette Mist collided approaching the first turn checking Valletta Mist and severely checking Unbuckled which lost ground and subsequently pulled up.  Valletta Mist and Lockwood Lad collided on the first turn.  Lockwood Lad faltered in the back straight and lost ground.  Striking Tiger and Lockwood Lad collided approaching the third turn.  

Lockwood Lad underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right metatarsal fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

Unbuckled underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Atomic Icon was slow to begin.

Ernesto Bale checked off Grudge approaching the first turn.  Sky Wesley checked off Ernesto Bale on the first turn.

Zekel Bale and Triple Double collided soon after the start. Living Daylights, Triple Double and Zekel Bale collided on the first turn.  Zekel Bale raced wide on the second turn.  Living Daylights checked off Woolybully Keats on the home turn.

Ishmy Lady and Dreamy Julian collided soon after the start.  Dreamy Julian and Lightwood Lass collided approaching the first turn.  Lightwood Lass and Refresh collided on the first turn checking Refresh causing Refresh and Dreamy Julian to collide.  Dreamy Julian and Refresh collided approaching the home turn.  As Only Is and Lightwood Lass collided entering the home straight.  

Macs Road was a late scratching at 5.21pm when the handler did not arrive to retrieve the greyhound from the kennel block. Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Minne, the handler of Macs Road, who explained that he had had an medical emergency and was unable to return to the kennel block. Stewards accepted his explanation, however they requested that Mr. Minne provide a medical certificate in the next week.

Winlock Winner was quick to begin.  Soda Flakes was slow to begin.
