Steward's Report
Treasure's Danae was slow to begin.
Aaron's Me Boy and Awesome Arby collided soon after the start. Aaron's Me Boy, Awesome Arby and Dinkydi Sweetie collided approaching the 300m mark checking Dinkidi Sweetie and Awesome Arby. Dinkydi Sweetie checked off Aaron's Me Boy at the 300m mark. Toyman Tim and Superior Merlot collided at the 250m mark. Aaron's Me Boy, Toyman Tim, Lady Elegance, Superior Merlot and Jay Jay Kersey collided at the 150m mark. Aaron's Me Boy and Treasure's Danae collided at the 50m mark. Treasure's Danae eased approaching the winning post.
Treasure's Danae underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4. Treasure's Danae was found to have injuries to the left pencil muscle and left hip muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms P. Boots the trainer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Treasure's Danae was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Boots pleaded guilty to the charge, Treasure's Danae must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
