Walk Me Home was slow to begin.
Halwes crossed to the rail soon after the start checking You Tell Me and Walk Me Home. You Tell Me checked off Road To Success approaching the first turn. Montaya and Walk Me Home collided approaching the first turn checking Walk Me Home. Halwes and Road To Success collided on the first turn checking Road To Success. Montaya contacted the running rail on the first turn checking Road To Success and severely checking Walk Me Home, which fell as a result.
Montaya underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh muscle injury and a spike wound to the right foreleg paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Walk Me Home underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
