In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.2 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.8 degrees.
Rodrigo Bale and Aston Spinel were slow to begin.
Mr. Bar Wicked, Rodrigo Bale and Our Manny collided soon after the start. Galena Bale and Dustification collided soon after the start. Mr. Bar Wicked checked off Starry's Lad approaching the first turn checking Dustification and Indulge. Rodrigo Bale, Our Manny and Aston Spinel collided approaching the first turn. Galena Bale checked off Aston Spinel on the first turn. Indulge checked off Mr. Bar Wicked on the first turn. Rodrigo Bale, Our Manny and Dustification collided approaching the second turn checking Rodrigo Bale, Our Manny and Aston Spinel. Dustification and Galena Bale collided approaching the third turn. Indulge and Galena Bale collided approaching the home turn. Aston Spinel and Rodrigo Bale collided approaching the home turn. Galena Bale checked off Indulge entering the home straight.
Stewards withheld the 'all clear' to view the official video films after a member of the public entered the course proper approaching the second turn. After viewing the footage, Stewards were of the view that no greyhound had been affected and 'all clear' was declared on the placings 1-6-2-8.
