In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 40.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.9 degrees.   At the time of the first race the temperature had dropped to 36.3  degrees.

Due to concerns with the condition of Hint Of Magic on route to boxes the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination at the boxes and was subsequently a late scratching at 7.00pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

This event was delayed by approximately 7mins due to the late scratching at the boxes.

Take A Lily checked off Amrin approaching the first turn.  Amrin and Willy Eve collided on the first turn checking Willy Eve.  Jump The Bar checked off Amrin on the first turn.  Willy Eve and Take A Lily collided on the first turn.  Hook Along Pippa raced wide on the home turn.

This event was delayed by 2 minutes due to the delay from race 1.

Almani Rampage was quick to begin.

Crown Polly, Criminal Crocket, Saipan Bale and Shanghai Avatar collided approaching the first turn checking Crown Polly, Criminal Crocket and Shanghai Avatar causing Crown Polly to contact the running rail.  Criminal Crocket checked off Saipan Bale on the first turn.  Criminal Crocket checked off Swamp Donkey on the first turn causing Criminal Crocket to falter, race wide and lose ground.  Crown Polly and Miss Monster collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  

Criminal Crocket underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Zayd crossed in approaching the first turn checking Taking Off, Akina Spot and Dr. Zayd.  Gracelands crossed in on the first turn severely checking White Mischief, Dr. Zayd and Taking Off.

No Problem John checked off Kiwi Hustler approaching the first turn.  Dr. Brissa checked off Honey Soy on the first turn checking Fab Senorita Kiwi Hustler and Little Miss Ivy.  Rusty Nail and Kiwi Hustler collided on the home turn checking Rusty Nail and Little Miss Ivy.  No Problem John and Dr. Brissa collided in the home straight causing Dr. Brissa to stumble.  Kiwi Hustler visibly eased and collided with Honey Soy approaching the winning post.  

Kiwi Hustler underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7 - no apparent was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Graham, the trainer of Kiwi Hustler regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Kiwi Hustler was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Graham pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kiwi Hustler was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Parzival was quick to begin.  Nothin' To Lose was slow to begin.

Jayville Slick and Zipping Cedric collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Cedric.  Rico's Amore, Nella Bale and Off To Monaco collided on the first turn checking Nella Bale and Off To Monaco.  Nella Bale and Zipping Cedric collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.

Pete's Dream and Mr. Milford were slow to begin.

Shadow Mist checked off Rollo Ragnar soon after the start.  Rollo Ragnar and Shadow Mist collided approaching the first turn checking Shadow Mist and Airly Spence.  Shadow Mist and Threaten collided approaching the first turn.  Pete's Dream, Flaming Assassin and Mr. Milford collided on the first turn checking Flaming Assassin and Mr. Milford.  Pete's Dream and Gypsy Kiowa collided on the first turn.  Pete's Dream clipped the heels of Gypsy Kiowa in the back straight checking Pete's Dream.

Kramer Bale and It's A Drama collided approaching the first turn.  Early Promise and Problem Solved collided on the home turn.  Kramer Bale galloped on Let's Roll on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Problem Solved and It's A Drama collided several times on the home turn and entering the home straight.  Problem Solved and It's A Drama raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. 

Problem Solved underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Hird From Bucks and Mahjong World were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Cosmic Ollie and Handsome collided on the first turn.  Hird From Bucks raced wide on the first turn.  Hird from Bucks checked off Dream Gem on the third turn.  

Hird From Bucks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed

Desiree Dancer and Mepunga Billy collided approaching the first turn checking Desiree Dancer.  Desiree Dancer and John's Last collided on the first turn checking Desiree Dancer, Dava Supreme and Ants In Pants.  Dava Supreme galloped on Desiree Dancer approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds and causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground and tail off.  

Desiree Dancer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle, right monkey muscle injuries and a left front foot spike wound.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dava Supreme underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left medial calf spike wound.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

That Will Be and Mystic Jaguar collided soon after the start checking That Will Be and Glayva.  Take A Rose, Zade's Magic, Why Not Hugh, Glayva and Mystic Jaguar collided approaching the first turn checking Take A Rose, Zade's Magic and Glayva.  Big Bubbles crossed in on the first turn checking Take A Rose, Zade's Magic and severely checking Glayva and That Will Be, causing Glayva to fall and That Will Be to race wide.  

Glayva underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Data Star and Zambora Cash collided on the first turn checking Zambora Cash.  Property Power and Superstar Jessie collided several times from the first turn to approaching the home turn checking Superstar Jessie, Zambora Cash and Golden Romance.  Take A Daisy checked off Superstar Jessie on the home turn.  Take A Daisy checked off Zambora Cash on the home turn.

Trainer Mr M. Giddings requested that Property Power undergo a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have PEDS.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Jack, the trainer of Take A Daisy and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Stewards also issued a warning to Mr S. Jack in accordance with GAR 91(c) regarding his comments and attitude towards Stewards during the inquiry into his greyhound Take A Daisy's performance in this event.

Aron Allen and Tuiaki Dora collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Aron Allen checked off Cersei on the first turn checking Aron Allen and Tuiaki Dora causing both greyhounds to race wide and lose ground.  Dan's Hopeful and New Fire Girl collided approaching the home turn checking Dan,s Hopeful and Zipping Brandy.  Paw Licious and Brother Griff collided approaching the home turn checking Paw Licious.  Aron Allen checked off Tuiaki Dora on the home turn.  Paw Licious, Zipping Brandy and Aron Allen raced wide in the home straight.
