A pre-race sample was taken from Halwes.
Aston Achilles was slow to begin.
Bartholomew Bale crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Halwes. Maybe Hostile crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Aston Achilles, Maybe Hostile, Halwes and Whispy Bale. Bartholomew and Mick's Multi collided approaching the second turn. Maybe Hostile lost ground in the back straight. Bartholomew Bale checked off Maybe Hostile on the third turn. Bartholomew Bale and Mick's Multi collided entering the home straight. Aston Achilles and Whispy Bale collided in the home straight.
Maybe Hostile underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle, the right back muscle and the right hamstring. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
