Bees On Fire, Soda Maxi and Buck The Jockey collided approaching the first turn checking Soda Maxi, Buck The Jockey, Beau Gem and Hird From Bucks. Soda Maxi, Buck The Jockey, Beau Gem and River Crossing collided on the first turn checking Buck The Jockey, Beau Gem and River Crossing. Beau Gem and Hird From Bucks collided on the first turn checking Beau Gem. Beau Gem checked off River Crossing on the first turn. Soda Maxi and Mahi Indian collided approaching the home turn. Soda Maxi, Buck The Jockey and Mahi Indian collided entering the home straight checking Soda Maxi. Bees On Fire turned its head out entering the home straight causing Bees On Fire and Spolly James to race wide as a result. Bees On Fire turned its head out again in the home straight checking Spolly James.
Bees On Fire underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Johnson, the trainer of Bees On Fire regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Bees On Fire was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge, Bees On Fire must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
