Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Super Big.
Coco Jumbo was slow to begin.
Rollin' In and Bearing Gold collided soon after the start. Jaimandy Roy, Rollin' In and Thandie Bale collided at the 300m mark checking all three greyhounds. Coco Jumbo visibly turned its head and eased at the 200m mark severely checking Fairytale Wish, Thandie Bale and Jaimandy Roy. Rollin' In checked off Bearing Gold at the 100m mark.
Jaimandy Roy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Rollin' In underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have an injury to the left quadriceps muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Coco Jumbo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3. Coco Jumbo was found to have injuries to the right quadriceps and right triangle muscles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Miss A. Terry the trainer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 200m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Coco Jumbo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Miss Terry pleaded guilty to the charge, Coco Jumbo must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
