Steward's Report
Aston Logan was slow to begin.
Espresso Eclipse, Nifty Nelly and Warren Wahoo collided on the first turn checking Espresso Eclipse, Nifty Nelly, Weblec Rebel, Aston Logan and Warren Wahoo. Espresso Eclipse retired from the event shortly after this incident. Warren Wahoo checked off Aston Logan on the home turn. Aston Logan and Warren Wahoo collided entering the home straight. Joffa's Princess checked off Virtual Flash entering the home straight.
Espresso Eclipse underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right back muscle and left wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Josh Formosa, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Espresso Eclipse was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Espresso Eclipse must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
