A pre-race sample was taken from Galloping Occy.
Shanlyn Rob was quick to begin and crossed in soon after the start checking Wonderful World and Galloping Occy. Wonderful World checked off Vesper Bale approaching the first turn severely checking Wonderful World which fell severely checking Kingfisher Rose. Dundee Ace and Wallbanger collided approaching the first turn checking Dundee Ace. Captain Jake checked off Shalyn Rob in the back straight. Dundee Ace and Wallbanger collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Captain Jake checked off Shanlyn Rob in the home straight. Shanlyn Rob and Vesper Bale collided in the home straight. Wallbanger and Galloping Occy collided approaching the winning post.
Wonderful World underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left thigh injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
