A pre-race sample was taken from My Bro Lucky.
Jackson's Creek was quick to begin.
Jackson's Creek and It's A Blaze collided approaching the first turn checking Jackson's Creek. Boes Bounty and Bit Of Hay collided approaching the first turn. Weblec Storm checked off Runaway Angel on the first turn. Boes Bounty and Bit Of Hay collided on the first turn checking Bit Of Hay. Runaway Angel visibly eased approaching the second turn checking Weblec Storm. Weblec Storm and Runaway Angel collided on the second turn and again entering the home straight checking Runaway Angel. Boes Bounty and My Bro Lucky raced wide in the home straight.
Trainer Mr R. Hill requested that My Bro Lucky undergo a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Runaway Angel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind medial, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr S. Kyriacopoulos, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Runaway Angel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Kyriacopoulos pleaded guilty to the charge, Runaway Angel must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
