Steward's Report
Justify was quick to begin. Devon Shadow and Brute were slow to begin. Bromley checked off Justify soon after the start. Devon Shadow checked off Tiffy's Express soon after the start. Simmo's My Bro and Tiffy's Express collided approaching the first turn checking Brute and Tiffy's Express. Devon Shadow and Tiffy's Express collided approaching the first turn. Brute lost ground from the first turn. Bromley checked off Dr. Rozzie approaching the second turn.
Brute underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left deltoid muscle, left groin muscle and both chest muscles. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the event Justify collapsed. A veterinary examination found the greyhound had a seizure. A 5 day stand down penalty was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 74 Justify must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Dr. Rozzie - the winner of the event.
