A sample was taken from Hazey Rose at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.
A pre-race sample was taken from Divine Dixie.
Choir Magic was slow to begin. Divine Dixie and Mystic Rose collided approaching the first turn. Divine Dixie, La La Nebraska and Sweet Antares collided on the first turn, severely checking Divine Dixie. La La Nebraska and Mystic Rose collided on the home turn. Fast Lane contacted the running rail on the home turn and collided with Choir Magic, checking both greyhounds. Choir Magic and Irina Bale collided on the home turn, checking Choir Magic. Divine Dixie raced wide in the home straight.
Fast Lane underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left foreleg monkey muscle, right hindleg triangle and bruising to the right forearm injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Choir Magic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike would to the right caudal tibia and right hindleg hamstring injuries. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
