Sheer Bliss and Vigorous collided soon after the start. Pair Of Nines and Padrino Rocks collided approaching the first turn. Vigorous, Pair Of Nines and Padrinl Rocks collided on the first turn severely checking Padrino Rocks. Keefe and Rock Me David collided in the home straight.

Padrino Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported the greyhound had no injury apparent.
