Steward's Report
Clovalley Mauri - Late scratching at 13:00 due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs. W. Connell was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Zambora Lion.
Decker, Barellen Knight, Clovally Mansumi and Cornhill Rebel collided soon after the start. Decker checked off Barellen Knight on the first turn severely checking Rossington, Clovalley Mansumi and Cornhill Rebel, causing Rossington to fall.
Rossington underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left radius/ulna fracture. Rossington was humanely euthanased.
