Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Baby Eden.
Looby Sky was quick to begin. Artemisia was slow to begin.
Spot On Cinta and Zipping Ryder collided approaching the first turn checking Spot On Cinta. Spot On Cinta lost ground on the third turn. Looby Sky and Baby Eden collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Spot On Cinta underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Mrs S. Collins declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mrs S Collins, the trainer of Spot On Cinta regarding the greyhounds performance on the third turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Spot On Cinta must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Baby Eden underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Looby Sky underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right front foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr W Kee, the trainer of Baby Eden regarding the greyhounds performance and betting activity in this event. This matter has been referred to the GRV betting analyst.
