Avenger Spolly was slow to begin.
Rock Me Rosemary faltered on the first turn. Another Avatar checked off Run Shifty Run on the first turn causing Avenger Spolly to race wide. Ragin' Outcast and Run Shifty Run collided on the first turn checking Ragin' Outcast, Kip Your Best and severely checking Run Shifty Run. Saharrah Blitz and Avenger Spolly collided approaching the home turn. Saharrah Blitz and Run Shifty Run collided on the home turn checking Run Shifty Run and Avenger Spolly. Ragin' Outcast and Kip Your Best collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Ragin' Outcast and Rock Me Rosemary collided approaching the winning post checking Rock Me Rosemary.
Rock Me Rosemary underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fibula injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Saharrah Blitz underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Tatti, the trainer of Saharrah Blitz regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. After taking into consideration the significant interference and reviewing all available video footage, Stewards took no further action.
