Steward's Report
Superior Power and Brother Griff collided soon after the start. Black Market checked off Superstar Jessie soon after the start. Unexplainable and Superior Power collided at the 250m mark. Early Special and Red Queen collided approaching the 200m mark checking Red Queen. Monty Python and Red Queen collided approaching the 150m mark. Early Special and Monty Python collided approaching the 50m mark.
Superstar Jessie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hip. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr C. Dalton, the trainer of Monty Python regarding its aggressive behaviour in the catching pen. Stewards deemed the performance and behaviour unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71(A), Monty Python must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards opened an inquiry in relation to an incident that occurred in the wash bay between registered participants Mr C. Dalton and Mr T. Cortese. Stewards took evidence from both parties and witnesses and adjourned the inquiry to a date and time to be fixed.
