Supplementary Report: The Stewards interviewed Mr Garry Selkrig upon the disappointing performance of Peter Galo in this event, post-race (25/2). Mr Selkrig advised that he had Peter Galo fully scoped by Dr Des Fagan on Monday 24 February which revealed a significantly torn triangle muscle that will require at least 3 weeks to rehabilitate. Mr Selkrig advised that Peter Galo had trialled up seven (7) days prior to today at Graeme Jose's slipping track and Mr Selkrig was pleased with that run. Further, the delay with the power failure at the start of the race and the testing of the lure before the start did not suit Peter Galo and may have contributed to the disappointing run. The GRV Betting Analyst will be reviewing the betting data on this race around Peter Galo.
