Aston Turbine and Zereva collided on the first turn checking Zereva. Superior Jacob and Aston Turbine collided approaching the home turn. Axel Boy Jose, Superior Jacob and Invictus Tilly collided on the home turn checking Axel Boy Jose. Superior Jacob and Invictus Tilly collided in the home straight checking Zereva. 

Pedda Pal was quick to begin.

Dr. Madelyn checked off Pedda Pal soon after the start. Nigella, Dr. Masala and Panda Rose collided on the first turn checking Dr. Masala. Nigella and Symbol For You collided entering the back straight checking Symbol For You. Dr. Delilah and Dr. Cassia collided in the back straight checking both greyhounds. Pedda Pal and Panda Rose collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn checking both greyhounds. Panda Rose and Dr. Cassia collided in the home straight.

Montaro was quick to begin. Blue Tornado and Lump Sum were slow to begin. 

Montaro and Mombasa collided approaching the first turn. Lamotta and Montaro collided on the first turn checking Lamotta. Lump Sum clipped the heels of Blue Tornado on the first turn. Mombasa and Willow Rose collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Montaro and Phoenix Drive collided approaching the home turn checking Phoenix Drive. Montaro and Willow Rose collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Jayville Slick was slow to begin. 

Zipping Wade, Thistle Rock and Scorching Ember collided soon after the start checking Thistle Rock and Scorching Ember. Dundee Glitter and Jayville Tahlia crossed in soon after the start checking Ragnar Bale. Jayville Tahlia and Dundee Glitter collided on the first turn checking Jayville Tahlia and Zipping Wade. Scorching Ember checked off Ragnar Bale in the back straight. Jayville Tahlia checked off Jayville Slick on the second turn. 

The start of this event was delayed after Trainers raised concerns with the dryness of the track surface following the running of race 4. Stewards inspected the track and liaised with track staff and subsequently put all races back by one race to allow water to be applied to the track surface. Stewards inspected the track again after water had been applied and deemed it satisfactory for racing. Race twelve was rescheduled to start at 9:54pm. 

Nicholas Rose was slow to begin. 

Macalister Tiger and Kranskey collided soon after the start. John's Last and Razor Sharp collided approaching the first turn. Sky Wesley and Cruisy's Rose collided on the first turn. Kranskey checked off Macalister Tiger on the first turn. John's Last and Nicholas Rose collided approaching the home turn.

Tiggerlong Ginga - Late scratching at 5.24pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms Samantha Grenfell was fined $100.

Ishmy Barry, Marcello and Goldrush Rose collided soon after the start. Tansy and Goldrush Rose collided on the first turn causing Tansy to stumble; both greyhounds were checked as a result. Goldrush Rose and Ishmy Barry collided on the home turn.
