Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Maximum Tiff at the Trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Khaleesi Girl was a late scratching at 6:48pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to illness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Akashi Kid.
So Tough and Akashi Kid were slow to begin. Make A Sound and So Tough collided soon after the start. Maximum Tiff crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Make A Sound which fell as a result. Zoro Bale and Maximum Tiff collided approaching the first turn checking So Tough and Maximum Tiff.
Make A Sound was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind outer toe, no stand down period was imposed.
