Steward's Report
Dyna Garner was quick to begin. Maximum Brew, Rixy Ya Pest, Dyna Bonnay and Aston Chandon were slow to begin.
Zipping Clifford and Sunny's Kayo collided on the first turn. Rixy Ya Pest checked off Dyna Bonnay entering the front straight. Dyna Bonnay and Vens Revenge collided on the second turn. Zipping Clifford checked off Sunny's Kayo in the back straight. Zipping Clifford and Aston Chandon collided on the fourth turn checking Aston Chandon. Aston Chandon visibly eased and turned its head on the home turn and collided with Zipping Clifford checking Zipping Clifford.
Aston Chandon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent was reported. Mr J. Thompson declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr J. Thompson, the trainer of Aston Chandon regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Aston Chandon was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Chandon is suspended for 28 days at Sandown and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
