Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kratos.
Kratos went up with the lids at box rise. Captain Jake crossed to the rail soon after the start causing Whodat Dare, Captain Jake and Off To Monaco to collide. Mrs. Flintstone checked off Mahjong Nickel approaching the first turn. Mrs. Flintstone and Whodat Dare collided approaching the first turn. Foxy Cruiser and Captain Jake collided on the first turn causing Captain Jake to stumble. Mrs. Flintstone and Whodat Dare collided on the first turn checking Whodat Dare causing Whodat Dare to race wide and hurdle Captain Jake and collided with Kratos. Hedonistic checked off Mrs. Flintstone on the second turn and again on the third turn causing Hedonistic, Whodat Dare and Captain Jake to collide.
Whodat Dare underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Captain Jake underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstring injury, abrasion and spike wounds to the right front foot and the left metatarsal. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards conducted a check of catcher’s licences, Mr G. Minne was issued with a warning regarding his failure to produce his GRV licence in accordance with LRR 16.2.
