Steward's Report
Mystery Jet and Lektra Perry collided approaching the first turn. Trouper, Quick Session and Mystery Jet collided approaching the first turn. Cheeky Chimp, Pat Malone, Zelzer Allen and Lektra Perry collided on the first turn, severely checking Zelzer Allen which collided with Quick Session and Mystery Jet. Cheeky Chimp and Pat Malone collided approaching the home turn. Mystery Jet eased approaching the winning post.
Mystery Jet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Mystery Jet was found to have a right thigh and right shin injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M.Carter, the trainer of Mystery Jet regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Mystery Jet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Carter pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mystery Jet is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
