Steward's Report
Lonnie Loot, Aston Kipchoge and Sunset Bourbski were slow to begin.
Oddjob Lad, Lonnie Loot, Aston Kipchoge and Spyglass collided on the first turn, checking Spyglass, Aston Kipchoge and caused Sunset Bourbski to race wide. Tan Back Tan marred Saint Rock on the third turn. Tan Back Tan and Saint Rock collided on the home turn. Sunset Bourbski and Lonnie Loot raced wide on the home turn. Tan Back Tan and Saint Rock collided in the home straight. Tan Back Tan marred Saint Rock in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Peter Bartlett, the handler of Tan Back Tan regarding the greyhounds racing manners on third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Tan Back Tan was charged with marring. Mr Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Tan Back Tan is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Rioli - the winner of the event.
Tan Back Tan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound, right hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
