Steward's Report
Rusty Model was quick to begin. Take A Rose and Dorellie Love were slow to begin. Dorellie Love and Clover Lee collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Clover Lee clipped the heels of Bernmar Luck on the home turn. Bernmar Luck and Take A Rose collided in the home straight. Bernmar Luck veered in and marred Take A Rose in the home straight.
Bernmar Luck underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right elbow injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Borradale, the trainer of Bernmar Luck regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Bernmar Luck was charged with marring. Mr. Borradale pleaded guilty to the charge, Bernmar Luck is suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Reichman - the winner of the event.
