An out of competition sample was taken from Seven Enemies and Oriental Zeal (scratched) on 27 August 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A. 

Quid Pro Quo and Chillout Chuckie were slow to begin.

Hurricane Armo and Hounding Me collided soon after the start.  Happy Hannah, Hurricane Armo, Spot On Dot and Seven Enemies collided approaching the first turn.  Hurricane Armo and Spot On Dot collided on the first turn.  Spot On Dot and Hounding Me collided on the first turn, checking Hounding Me.  Quid Pro Quo and Chillout Chuckie collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Push.

Sharni's My Girl and Blue Mascara were slow to begin. 

Push and Blue Mascara collided on the first turn and again on the third turn, checking Push. Zipping Imogen and Blue Mascara collided entering the home straight.  Push galloped on Zipping Imogen in the home straight. 

Zipping Imogen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race five. Zipping Imogen was found to have bruising to the right hock and right and left pectoral injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race sample was taken from Lumen Nation - the winner of the event. 

Our Airman was slow to begin. 

Spring Trick and Weblec Smoke collided soon after the start and again on the first turn.  Potente Rocks and Our Airman collided approaching the second turn, checking Potente Rocks.  Weblec Smoke faltered in the back straight and tailed off as a result. 

Weblec Smoke underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Couture.

Sheriff Max was quick to begin.  Reiko Houdini was slow to begin. 

Cavatate and Couture collided on the first turn.  Reiko Houdini and Looby Sky collided on the first turn.  Sheriff Max and Confront collided approaching the home turn and ahain on the home turn.  Couture and Confront collided entering the home straight. 

Looby Sky underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a laceration to the nose , left foreleg monkey muscle and left hindleg abraded paw/webbing injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Daza.

Crackerjack Daza was quick to begin.  Big Deal and Molly Coaster were slow to begin. 

Aston Ninja and Vamoosh collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Winlock Sunshine and Vamoosh collided on the first turn.  Crackerjack Daza and Molly Coaster collided on the home turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Big Deal - the winner of the event. 

Blue Fabianna and Hunkapapa were quick to begin. 

Hunkapapa and Selfless collided soon after the start, checking Selfless.  Fast Izzi and Happy Tails collided on the first turn.  Happy Tails and New Samsation collided on the first turn, checking New Samsation which raced wide.  Happy Tails galloped on Expense Eve entering the front straight; severely checking both greyhounds, Expense Eve stumbled subsequently checking Blue Fabianna and Fast Izzi.  Expense Eve, Blue Fabianna and Fast Izzi collided approaching the second turn.  Expense Eve and Happy Tails collided on the second turn.

Bomber Creek and Star Reiko were quick to begin.  Moonquake and Dyna Drew were slow to begin. 

Titanium Lad and Our Rock Man collided on the first turn.  Moonquake and Dyna Drew collided on the first turn.  Titanium Lad and Our Rock Man collided on the second turn, checking Our Rock Man and Star Reiko. 

Connor Allen and Nigel Allen collided on the first turn.  Nigel Allen and Front Page News collided on the first turn.  Nigel Allen galloped on the heels of Hot Tip on the third turn: Nigel Allen fell as a result. Zipping Clifford and Connor Allen collided on the fourth turn. 

Nigel Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Johnny Wishbone was slow to begin. 

Cavatron checked off My Name's Red on the first turn.  Dyna Bonnay and Johnny Wishbone collided on the first turn.  My Name's Red and Johnny Wishbone collided entering the back straight; severely checking My Name's Red.

A pre-race sample was taken from Smart Mary.

Cee Jay Ace was slow to begin. 

Smart Mary and Meehan Bazz collided several times approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Cee Jay Ace and Meehan Bazz collided on the second turn.  Cee Jay Ace and Jim's Hotel collided on the third turn. 

MEETING COMMENTS

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 525m with 3  required to trial. The winning time of trial was 32.02:

 Episode finished first, Emma's Blue Wren finished fourth, Lia Capri finished third. 

 Episode– Was stood down from racing at The Meadows for failing to pursue the lure. Weighing 31.1kg and beginning from box one beaten by a head. Episode has not been cleared to race due to the greyhound visibly easing and turning it's head on the home turn.  

Emma's Blue Wren – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a seasonal spell. Weighing 25.7kg and beginning from box two beaten by a 17.25L. Emma's Blue Wren has not been cleared to race due to an unsatisfactory performance.
