A pre-race sample was taken from One Thrill.
One Thrill was slow to begin. Marcus Rose, Tom Riddle, Give Me Wings and Gracioso collided approaching the first turn checking Marcus Rose, Tom Riddle and Give Me Wings. Gracioso and I'm The Poppet collided on the first turn checking Gracioso and Give Me Wings. Tom Riddle checked off Give Me Wings on the first turn. Gracioso checked off One Thrill approaching the second turn. Gin Lee's Dream faltered on the second turn and lost ground. Marcus Rose and Gin Lee's Dream collided in the back straight, severely checking Marcus Rose which collided with Tom Riddle. Give Me Wings and Gracioso collided entering the home straight. Marcus Rose raced wide in the home straight. I'm The Poppet eased approaching the winning post.
Marcus Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the thoraco-lumbar and right wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
I'm The Poppet was vetted following the event and was revetted following R11. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left toe and left pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Collins, Trainer, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), I'm The Poppet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, I'm The Poppet must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted
Gin Lee's Dream was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to both wrists, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
