Mod Squad and Poppy Talk were quick to begin.  Samp De Keats and Zenisha Bale were slow to begin.  Keefe and Zenisha Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Zenisha Bale.  Zenisha Bale baulked approaching the first turn and again in the front straight.  Poppy Talk and Madam Rosmerta collided on the first turn.  Keefe checked off Starry's Lad on the first turn.  Starry's Lad checked off Poppy Talk approaching the second turn.  Zenisha Bale galloped on the heels of Keefe on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Poppy Talk and Madam Rosmerta collided in the back straight.  Poppy Talk clipped the heels of Madam Rosmerta approaching the third turn checking Starry's Lad, severely checking Poppy Talk.  Zenisha Bale crossed our approaching the home turn.  Keefe, Starry's Lad and Samp De Keats collided on the home turn checking Starry's Lad and Samp De Keats.

Martell was slow to begin.  Weblec Eagle checked off Avalanche on the first turn checking Weblec Eagle and Buddy's Entity.  Weblec Eagle clipped the heels of Bunning Snag on the first turn causing Weblec Eagle and Buddy's Entity to race wide.  Martell clipped the heels of Bunning Snag approaching the second turn.  Martell fell as a result, severely checking Buddy's Entity.

Martell was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Weblec Smoke was slow to begin.  Hooked On Scotch checked off Curnow Keats on the first turn checking Roper River Jake.  Hooked On Scotch and Roper River Jake collided approaching the second turn checking Sheriff Max.  Hooked On Scotch checked off Roper River Jake entering the back straight checking Sheriff Max.  Submission and Roper River Jake collided on the third turn checking Roper River Jake.

Dyna Patty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right metatarsal, no stand down period was imposed.

Vens Revenge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

One Thrill was slow to begin.  Marcus Rose, Tom Riddle, Give Me Wings and Gracioso collided approaching the first turn checking Marcus Rose, Tom Riddle and Give Me Wings.  Gracioso and I'm The Poppet collided on the first turn checking Gracioso and Give Me Wings.  Tom Riddle checked off Give Me Wings on the first turn.  Gracioso checked off One Thrill approaching the second turn.  Gin Lee's Dream faltered on the second turn and lost ground.  Marcus Rose and Gin Lee's Dream collided in the back straight, severely checking Marcus Rose which collided with Tom Riddle.  Give Me Wings and Gracioso collided entering the home straight.  Marcus Rose raced wide in the home straight.  I'm The Poppet eased approaching the winning post. 

Marcus Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the thoraco-lumbar and right wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

I'm The Poppet was vetted following the event and was revetted following R11.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left toe and left pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Collins, Trainer, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), I'm The Poppet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs. Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, I'm The Poppet must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted

Gin Lee's Dream was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to both wrists, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Gin Lee's Dream proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Spectral Blade and Summer Girl collided soon after the start.  Summer Girl crossed in approaching the first turn checking Zipping Galon and Ita Louisa.

A post race sample was taken from Zipping Galon, the winner of the event.

Stewards held the "All Clear" following this event in relation to the slow run-up time of the lure, in accordance with GAR 54(1).  After viewing the official race footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards formed the opinion and that no greyhound was materially affected and declared “All Clear" on the numbers 1-8-2-6.

Stewards spoke to Lure Driver, Mr C. Hiscock regarding the slow run-up time of the lure for this event.  Mr Hiscock stated that there was no power to the lure when he activated the automatic run-up so he immediately reverted to the manual process.  

Dyna Zaylee and Molly Coaster were slow to begin.  Fearless and Wilbury collided approaching the first turn.  Impending checked off Shanlyn Magic approaching the first turn.  Impending, Hot Fiasco and Molly Coaster collided on the first turn checking Hot Fiasco.  Shanlyn Magic and Impending collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Wilbury and Molly Coaster collided in the home straight.

The lure run-up was manually initiated for this event.
