Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from St. Jenson.
Kraken Jane Babe, Kintamani, Whiter Shade and Shoot To Miss were slow to begin.
Middle Trucker and Hot Tottie collided approaching the first turn severely checking Hot Tottie. Whiter Shade checked off Shoot To Miss approaching the first turn. St. Jenson checked off Shoot To Miss on the first turn. Kraken Jane Babe and St. Jenson collided on the second turn. Whiter Shade and Kintamani collided on the third turn. Hot Tottie and Kintamani collided approaching the home turn. Middle Trucker and Kraken Jane Babe collided entering the home straight. St. Jenson marred Nitro Nicole in the home straight checking Shoot To Miss.
St. Jenson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest muscle and left back muscle injuries. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Stefanos, the trainer of St. Jenson regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) St. Jenson was charged with marring. Mr Stefanos pleaded guilty to the charge, St. Jenson is suspended for 28 days at Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
