Steward's Report
Kindra and Invictus Roy were slow to begin.
Lands End crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Kindra. Weblec Fire, Lands End, Invictus Roy and Kindra collided approaching the first turn checking Kindra, Lands End and Invictus Roy. Happy Hannah and Invictus Roy collided approaching the first turn. Kindra, Lands End and Invictus Roy collided on the first turn checking Kindra, Lands End and Happy Hannah. Weblec Fire raced wide on the first turn checking Mostro Rocks. Kindra, Mostro Rocks and Lands End collided approaching the second turn checking Kindra and Lands End causing Mostro Rocks to fall. Kindra checked off Lands End in the back straight. Lands End failed to pursue the lure approaching the home turn, on the home turn and in the home straight.
Mostro Rocks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle and right triangle injuries. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Lands End underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left back muscle and left sartorius injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr D. Geall, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn, on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Lands End was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Geall pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lands End was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
