Coalville Crash was slow to begin.
Coalville Crash and David's Way collided soon after the start. Rock Me Elijah, Wayne's Way and David's Way collided approaching the first turn checking Rock Me Elijah and Wayne's Way. Taylor's Chip and Humble Inquiry collided in the home straight. Rock Me Elijah and Coalville Crash collided in the home straight. Taylor's Way fell entering the catching pen.
Taylor's Way, fell entering the catching, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle and left biceps tendon injuries. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Humble Inquiry - winner of the event.
The All Clear for this event was delayed by approx. 5mins due to the second placegetter (Taylor's Way) as the greyhound fell entering the catching and required veterinary attention before it could scanned following the event.
