Meeting Comments:- The Stewards opened an inquiry earlier today with Trainer Mr Peter Presutto in regard to the transportation and presentation of four (4) greyhounds to the Shepparton Race Meeting today. Items from Mr Presutto's vechicle we’re taken into the Stewards possesion and all four (4) greyhounds that were commutted to the venue by Mr Presutto, were subject of race-day samples. After hearing submissions from Mr Presutto, which provided the Stewards with a level of comfort so as to be satisfied to allow these greyhounds to compete today, the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
Upon analysis, the relevant race-day samples were found to be free of any prohibited substances. Other miscellaneous samples that were collected as part of the investigation were also found to be free of any prohibited substances. After considering all the evidence, Stewards were satisfied that there had not been a breach of the Rules of Greyhound Racing and took the matter no further.
