Nobel Prize and Napa were quick to begin. Gazza's Pick, Recklessness and Flaming Knocka collided approaching the first turn. Nobel Prize and Scenic Warrior collided on the first turn checking Nobel Prize. Gazza's Pick, Recklessness, Flaming Knocka and Turanza Tiger collided on the first turn checking Gazza's Pick and Flaming Knocka, severely checking Recklessness which fell as a result. Napa tired over the concluding stages.
