Spark Joy was quick to begin.
Pontiac Icon and Sonoma Icon were slow to begin.
Iceni Mayhem and Greysynd Spark collided approaching the first turn checking Greysynd Spark. Pontiac Icon, Chill Out Digby collided on the first turn checking Pontiac Icon, Chill Out Digby, Greysynd Spark and Beau Herrera. Iceni Mayhem and Spark Joy collided on the home turn checking Spark Joy and Collective Noun. Greysynd Spark marred Iceni Mayhem in the home straight checking Iceni Mayhem. Sonoma Icon checked off Collective Noun in the home straight. Chill Out Digby, Iceni Mayhem, Spark Joy and Greysynd Spark collided in the home straight checking Greysynd Spark and Iceni Mayhem. Chill Out Digby marred Iceni Mayhem approaching the winning post checking Iceni Mayhem and Greysynd Spark.
Chill Out Digby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind metatarsal region. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Greysynd Spark underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury and an abrasion to the right hind metatarsal region. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Julie Chillcott, the handler of Chill Out Digby regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Chill Out Digby was charged with marring. Mrs Julie Chillcott pleaded guilty to the charge, Chill Out Digby is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
