Hala Aussie was slow to begin. Resounding, Reiko Opal and Play Along collided soon after the start checking Reiko Opal. Hala Aussie and Resounding collided approaching the first turn checking Resounding. Resounding contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground. Dundas Houdini and Play Along collided in the home straight
Resounding underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the medial stifle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
