Steward's Report

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter Mr. A. Blake did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event. 

This race was delayed by approximately 1 minute 30 seconds to allow debris to be removed from the back straight.

Ray Shoesmith and Rough Surface were slow to begin. Oriental Tiger, Slingshot Liam and Rough Surface collided approaching the first turn checking Rough Surface. David's Way and Wayne's Way collided approaching the first turn. Rough Surface and Ray Shoesmith collided on the first turn. Sheza Code Blue and Sayonara Sweetie collided approaching the home turn. David's Way galloped on the heels of Oriental Tiger on the home turn checking David's Way. Ray Shoesmith clipped the heels of Rough Surface entering the home straight. Sayonara Sweetie and Oriental Tiger collided approaching the winning post.

Sayonara Sweetie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Jones, the trainer of Sayonara Sweetie and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.

Stewards conducted a check of catcher’s licences in accordance with LR 16.2. All were compliant.

A post-race sample was taken from Sheza Code Blue.
