Steward's Report
Samba King - Late scratching at 10.58am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an injury to the left triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Our China Plate.
Starface and Our China Plate collided at the 300m mark. Smoke Signals, Lingua Franca and Just Jimmy collided at the 300m mark. Cozi Fitz, Smoke Signals and Just Jimmy collided approaching the 200m mark. Cozi Fitz and Smoke Signals collided at the 150m mark checking Just Jimmy. Our China Plate cramped at the 50m mark and lost considerable ground. Zipping Riot and Smoke Signals collided approaching the winning post checking Smoke Signals.
Our China Plate underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp) Our China Plate must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
