Steward's Report
Stewards enacted a manual kennelling process after the GRV Fasttrack network system was slow to operate. As a result, stewards put this meeting back one race. Subsequently, kennels closed at 10:55am, approximately 23 minutes late.
Races were rescheduled to the following times:

Island Cruiser – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a spell.
Sam I'm Mikado and Island Cruiser were slow to begin.
Side Splitting and Hardaway George collided soon after the start. Rotarua, Island Cruiser, Steel Magnolia, Rockin' Rosco and Spritely Too collided soon after the start. Island Cruiser checked off Steel Magnolia approaching the 300m mark and lost ground as a result. Rotarua and Rockin' Rosco collided several times from the 250m mark to the 100m mark checking Rotarua. Sam I'm Mikado and Hardaway George collided at the 50m mark. Sam I'm Mikado checked off Hardaway George approaching the winning post. Side Splitting eased approaching the winning post.
Side Splitting underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr L. Rowe regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Side Splitting was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Rowe pleaded not guilty to the charge, Side Splitting was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
