Stewards enacted a manual kennelling process after the GRV Fasttrack network system was slow to operate. As a result, stewards put this meeting back one race. Subsequently, kennels closed at 10:55am, approximately 23 minutes late.

Island Cruiser – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a spell.

Sam I'm Mikado and Island Cruiser were slow to begin.

Side Splitting and Hardaway George collided soon after the start. Rotarua, Island Cruiser, Steel Magnolia, Rockin' Rosco and Spritely Too collided soon after the start. Island Cruiser checked off Steel Magnolia approaching the 300m mark and lost ground as a result. Rotarua and Rockin' Rosco collided several times from the 250m mark to the 100m mark checking Rotarua. Sam I'm Mikado and Hardaway George collided at the 50m mark. Sam I'm Mikado checked off Hardaway George approaching the winning post. Side Splitting eased approaching the winning post. 

Side Splitting underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right pencil muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr L. Rowe regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Side Splitting was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Rowe pleaded not guilty to the charge, Side Splitting was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gunai Whisper – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a seasonal spell.

Sooty's Opal – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a seasonal spell.

Gunai Gypsy – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a seasonal spell. 

Banyuatis and Quiet Please were slow to begin.

Kraken Pat was very slow to begin (3L). 

Banyuatis and Quiet Please collided soon after the start. Banyuatis raced wide at the 250m mark checking Quiet Please.

Kroos and Golden Years were slow to begin.

Star Faith and Nangar Rippa collided soon after the start. Nangar Rippa and Kroos collided soon after the start checking Nangar Rippa. Kroos, All Revved Up and All Inn Tyler collided at the 300m mark. Kroos, Star Faith and Delta's Tiara collided at the 100m mark. All Inn Tyler and Delta's Tiara collided at the 100m mark. Star Faith checked off Kroos at the 50m mark.

Noonbarra Jack and Where's Success collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Noonbarra Jack and Our Magic Turbo collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Noonbarra Jack and Where's Success collided at the 300m mark checking Where's Success and Our Magic Turbo and severely checking Noonbarra Jack. Miss Booming crossed to the rail at the 300m mark checking Arashundi and Our Magic Turbo and severely checking Lektra Elsa. Lektra Elsa and Arashundi collided approaching the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. Lektra Elsa and Arashundi raced wide at the 150m mark. Jasper Beardly and Die Laughing collided at the 150m mark.

Die Laughing underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to the Mr J. Magri, the trainer of Die Laughing, and issued a warning regarding the greyhound’s race manners at the 150m mark.

Vandebay and Cut Snake were slow to begin.

Pink Tiara raced wide approaching the 250m mark and collided with Kraken Tex.

Fernando Drum – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a front right carpal injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fernando Drum. 

Ryder Sir and Amanda Lee collided soon after the start. Sparky Neveelk and Buck The Jockey collided at the 300m mark. Ryder Sir, Amanda Lee and Hot Fiasco collided at the 300m mark checking Amanda Lee. Rhomboid crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark. Riddles and Sparky Neveelk collided at the 250m mark checking Sparky Neveelk. Fernando Drums and Buck The Jockey collided at the 150m mark.

This event was delayed by one minute to allow the finish of a Seoul gallops race.

Banjo's Affair and Elfstar were slow to begin.

Two Seasons and Elfstar collided soon after the start. Banjo's Affair raced wide soon after the start. All Inn Misshap and Back Ya Self collided at the 300m mark. Two Seasons and Elfstar collided at the 300m mark and again approaching the 250m mark. Banjo's Affair crossed to the outside at the 200m mark checking All Inn Misshap, Back Ya Self and Two Seasons. Elfstar crossed to the rail approaching the 100m mark checking Having Words.

Scott Confused underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left metacarpal fracture. A 90 stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Peter Galo.

Peter Galo, Stars And Lights, Superior Sam and Bourbon An Kahn collided soon after the start checking all four greyhounds. Peter Galo and Stars And Lights collided at the 300m mark. Superior Sam and Bourbon An Kahn collided at the 300m mark. Stars And Lights and Bourbon An Kahn collided approaching the 250m mark and again at the 250m mark checking Bourbon An Kahn. 

Flying Cash  – Late scratching at 11:46pm yesterday evening, when Mr T.Erenshaw reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards subsequently spoke to Mr. Erenshaw regarding the late withdrawal of Flying Cash.  Mr Erenshaw advised that the greyhound became unwell after its night feed and after monitoring the greyhound for a few hours after, made the decision to withdraw the greyhound at 11.46pm.  Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

Invictus Lawless – New declared weight of 32.1kg, last raced at 33.6kg.

Master Faith and Frosty Snowman collided soon after the start. She's Perfect and Feelin' Seedy collided at the 100m mark. Stewards noted that the muzzle of Wazza Hawk became dislodged during the running of this event.

Eau Rouge and All You Got collided at the 250m mark checking All You Got and What's Up Skip. Untold Soldier, All You Got and Space Alert collided approaching the 150m mark. Fruit Frames checked off Chief Long Face at the 150m mark. Untold Soldier, All You Got and Space Alert collided approaching the 100m mark. Untold Soldier and Space Alert collided approaching the 50m mark and again at the 50m mark. Space Alert checked off Untold Soldier approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mumma's Bear.

Hammer Head raced wide at the 250m mark. Mr. Diaz and Unexplainable collided approaching the 200m mark. Mr. Diaz galloped on Mumma's Bear at the 50m mark checking both greyhounds. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Shakey Cougar.

Anndar Amoree and Shakey Cougar were slow to begin.

Just Blacky and Shakey Cougar collided at the 100m mark. Toby Sure and Miss Ledekey collided at the 50m mark checking Toby Sure.

Miss Ledekey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to the Mr C. Russell, the trainer of Miss Ledekey and issued a warning regarding the greyhound’s race manners at the 50m mark.
