Steward's Report
Ebony Lakes – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing after being on season.
Miss Spolly – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing after being on season. Miss Spolly also had a new declared weight recorded at 25.3kgs. Last raced at 23.9kgs.
David's Way – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing following a left shoulder injury. David's Way also had a new declared weight recorded at 30.7kgs. Last raced at 31.9kgs.
Bets And Beers and Trios Femmes were quick to begin. Saw Blaze was very slow to begin (4 Lengths).
David's Way galloped on Miss Spolly approaching the first turn. Ebony Lakes, Bets And Beers and Trios Femmes collided on the first turn, checking Trios Femmes and severely checking Ebony Lakes. Ebony Lakes and Saw Blaze collided entering the home straight. Miss Spolly and Trios Femmes collided approaching the winning post.
Ebony Lakes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustaned a left fore toe injuy. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Saw Blaze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to handler, Ms Renata Silva following the event after she moved in front of the boxes after boxing Miss Spolly. Ms Silva was reminded that she must stay behind the line at boxes once she has boxed the greyhounds.
