Lucky Gypsy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the right shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr S. Jack the trainer regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Lucky Gypsy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Jack pleaded guilty to the charge, Lucky Gypsy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The Cranbourne track was medium harrowed on Friday 3rd May.

Zipping Queen – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to seasonal spell and insect bite.  Weighing 28.2kg and beginning from box 2, Zipping Queen completed the 311m trial distance in a time of 18.36. Zipping Queen placed third in a field of four and was beaten by 4.75 lengths. Zipping Queen has been cleared to race.
