Grand Marina crossed to the outside at the 50m and clipped the heels of Ashby Quick. Tanjil Ace shifted wide and collided with Wake Up WIlma approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Ms K. Gorman in regards to Tanjil Ace's racing manners approaching the winning post. After reviewing available race footage stewards took no further action.

Shirdale Casey and Wild Bandit collided soon after the start. Tampico and Superior Charry collided at the 250m mark checking Tampico. Wild Bandit checked off Superior Charry at the 200m mark. Tampico and Superior Charry collided on several occassions approaching the 150m mark. Wild Bandit and Olivia's Pearl collided at the 150m mark. Shirdale Casey checked off Tampico approaching the 50m mark. Split Pea and Wild Bandit collided approaching the 50m mark checking Wild Bandit and Olivia's Pearl.

Bring The Spring was slow to begin.

Misty's Boy and Guevara collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Bring The Spring and All Inn Tyler collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. All Inn Tyler checked off She Loves Me at the 250m mark. Misty's Boy and Guevara collided several times approaching the 150m mark checking Guevara. All Inn Tyler checked off Bring The Spring at the 50m mark.

Billy's Missile was slow to begin. 

Billy's Missile checked off Cozi Fitz approaching the 200m mark. Mac Daddy and Cullquin Panda collided approaching the 200m mark checking Mac Daddy. Mac Daddy checked off Cullquin Panda at the 200m mark.

Shirdale Tom was vetted at the trainers request following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder and an abrasion above the right eye, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Shakin' Brave and Mepunga Pride were slow to begin. 

Broadway Polka and Superior Sam collided soon after the start checking Superior Sam. Layback Cruiser and Superior Sam collided at the 200m mark checking Layback Cruiser, Aston Lelani and Shakin' Brave. Atlantic Jewel and Superior Sam collided at the 100m mark checking Atlantic Jewel. Aston Lelani checked off Layback Cruiser at the 100m mark. Shakin' Brave checked off Mepunga Pride approaching the winning post.

Dead Eye Dickson and Zipping King collided at the 100m mark checking Zipping King. Zipping King checked off Dead Eye Dickson approaching the winning post.

Sunlit Breaker and Shaina Cabang collided at the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Veracity and Ryder Sir collided approaching the 200m mark. Veracity and Mr. Cashking collided at the 150m mark and again approaching the 50m mark checking Mr. Cashking. Oliver Cruise checked off Sunlit Breaker at the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Jay Robinson and issued a warning regarding his failure to catch Mr. Cashking pursuant to GAR 48.

A pre race sample was taken from Prince Mikado.

In accordance with GRV Heat Policy Stewards abandoned Race 12 at 1.06pm due to the outside temperature reaching 38.6 degrees. After consulting with the Bureau of Meterology stewards were advised that the outside temperature was not going to decrease in a period of 40 minutes or less.
