Zipping Navy was quick to begin. Dewana Rocket was slow to begin.
George Knockin', She Got Fire, Dewana Rocket and Dirty Boston collided soon after the start checking Dewana Rocket. George Knockin' checked off Zipping Navy approaching the first turn. George Knockin' crossed to the outside approaching the home turn checking She Got Fire, Dewana Rocket and Dirty Boston. George Knockin' eased approaching the winning post.
George Knockin' was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms N. Lund, the trainer of the greyhound George Knockin' regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged George Knockin' with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Lund pleaded guilty to the charge, George Knockin' was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
