Steward's Report
Pandora Charm was a late scratching at 5:34pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr C. Constantinou was fined the sum of $100.
Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 29.1 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 19.7 degrees.
Dirty Stella was quick to begin. Roulette Blues was slow to begin.
Abstract Miss checked off Dirty Stella soon after the start. Forest Lodge clipped the heels of Muza's Bella on the first turn checking both greyhounds; Dirty Stella was checked as a result. Abstract Miss checked off Forest Lodge approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Abstract Miss and Forest Lodge collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Jack regarding the improved performance of Taking Off. Mr Jack stated that the greyhound had his first uninterrupted run tonight and appreciated the wider draw. Stewards noted his explanation and directed a sample to be taken from Taking Off - the winner of the event.
