Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Superior Sam.
Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 29.4 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 19.7 degrees.
Merl's Michu and Superior Sam were slow to begin.
My Fernando Tim, Red Queen and Rube's Ablaze collided soon after the start checking Red Queen and Rube's Ablaze. Merl's Michu checked off Superior Sam at the 250m mark. Merl's Michu crossed to the outside at the 200m mark.
Meeting Comments:
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Borradale who had brought a greyhound to the track with the intention of trialling. No trials are done after day meetings that are deemed hot weather affected. Mr.Borradale subsequently left the greyhound unattended in his trailer. Stewards charged Mr.Borradale with failing to comply with a policy adopted by the Controlling Body (Hot weather policy) in accordance with GAR86(ag). Mr.Borradale pleaded not guilty to the charge. Mr.Borradale was found guilty and fined the sum of $250.
